Ordering and delivery

How long does it take to receive my dog house?

Every house is made to order in our workshop and ships in 1-4 business days. Delivery after dispatch is about 5-8 business days in the US with Economy shipping and 6-18 business days to other countries; Express delivery (2-5 business days) is available at checkout. All orders ship with tracking.

Where do you ship, and will I pay customs or import duties?

We ship free with tracking to the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, plus other countries listed on our Shipping & Delivery page. Every order is sent DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): import duties and taxes are already covered, so there is nothing extra to pay when your dog house arrives.

Where are Lotus Dog Houses made?

Every house is designed and handmade to order in our own workshop in Gönen, Balıkesir, Türkiye, and shipped directly to you with tracking. Lotus Dog House is operated by Fatih Coban, LLC, registered in Wyoming, United States.

Can I track my order?

Yes. You receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships, and you can follow it any time on our Track Your Order page.

Can I cancel or change my order?

You can cancel free of charge within 24 hours of ordering, before production starts. Email us with your order number. Size or colour changes are also possible within the same 24 hours.

Sizing and materials

Which size should I choose for my dog?

As a guide: small for dogs of about 5-12 kg (11-26 lb), medium for 12-22 kg (26-48 lb) and large or XL for 22-52 kg (48-115 lb). Measure your dog from nose to tail and from floor to shoulder, compare with the size chart on the product page, and size up if your puppy is still growing. Not sure? Email us your dog's breed and weight and we will confirm the right size.

What is the dog house made of?

Engineered wood (MDF) panels with a wood-grain or non-toxic painted finish that wipes clean, a clear shatter-resistant acrylic door and a steel latch. Doorless models are also available.

Is it hard to assemble?

No. Each house arrives flat-packed with pre-drilled panels, all hardware and an illustrated guide. Most customers finish assembly in about 15 minutes.

Does the door lock?

Yes. On models with a door, the steel latch closes from the outside, so the house works as a closed crate at night and an open den during the day. If you prefer no door, choose one of our doorless models.

Is a cushion included, and can I wash it?

Yes, every dog house comes with a cushion in the colour you choose. The cover is removable; wash it cold on a gentle cycle and air-dry to keep its shape. Spare cushions are available in the Cushions collection.

Can I use the top as a table?

Yes. The flat top is designed to work as a side table or console; on our Mid model it carries up to 70 kg (154 lb).

Is it suitable for cats or for outdoor use?

Cats love them too, and many customers order for both. The houses are designed for indoor use only; engineered wood is not weatherproof.

Returns and support

Can I return my order?

You can return your order within 14 days of delivery in unused condition and original packaging; return shipping to our workshop is paid by the customer and international freight can be significant, so please email us for an estimate first. Personalised items cannot be returned unless faulty. Full details are in our Refund Policy.

What if a part arrives damaged or missing?

Email us within 14 days of delivery with your order number and photos. We send replacement parts free of charge.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay. All payments are processed securely by Shopify Payments; we never see your card details.

Do you also sell on Etsy?

Yes. Lotus Dog House started on Etsy, where we have shipped more than 2,000 orders and were a finalist in the Etsy Design Awards 2023. Prices on this site match our Etsy shop.
