A small workshop behind every Lotus Dog House
Lotus Dog House is Fatih Çoban and a team of three working in our own workshop in Gönen, Balıkesir, Türkiye. We design every model ourselves, cut and finish the panels in-house, and pack each order by hand. When you order from us, you buy directly from the people who build your dog's house.
Our story
Our story began 60 years ago, when my grandfather opened a small wood and metal workshop to provide for his family. That is where our family's love of woodworking was born. I started helping at his bench when I was 11, and handcraft has been part of me ever since. I believe design runs in our family, and I think you will feel it in our work.
Design has been my passion for as long as I can remember, and I followed it through years at different design agencies. I also earned a university degree in animal care and nutrition. Animals and design are my two great loves, and Lotus Dog House is where they finally came together.
After years of designing in wood, I set out to build homes worthy of my animal friends: pieces that are comfortable for pets and beautiful enough to keep in your living room. Every Lotus dog house and dog crate is made from non-toxic materials and finished by hand in our own workshop, and I am proud that our work was named a Finalist in the Etsy Design Awards 2023.

Why an animal-care background matters
A dog house is a place an animal spends hours in. Fatih's training in animal care shapes the details: ventilation openings sized for airflow, a door that opens from the outside only, and sizes matched to your dog's weight range, with breed names given only as examples. If you are not sure which size fits, message us with your dog's breed and weight before you order. We would rather answer a question than process a return.
How we make them
Each panel is cut on our CNC router from engineered wood-look composite (MDF) that resists moisture and scratches, then finished in our own spray booth. Doors are shatter-resistant acrylic with a steel lock that opens from the outside only. The flat top works as a side table and holds up to 100 kg (220 lb). Every house is made to order and leaves the workshop within 1 to 4 business days.
The panels are wood-look composite: warp-proof, scratch-resistant, moisture-resistant and non-toxic. They do not flake or fade, so the finish holds up to a dog leaning on it every day. The cushion cover is machine washable and the subfloor lifts out for a quick wipe.
Original, registered designs
Every design in this shop is Fatih's own original work. The designs are registered with the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TÜRKPATENT), and Lotus Dog House is a registered trademark. Genuine Lotus designs are made only in our workshop and sold only here and in our own Etsy shops. If you see one of our designs somewhere else, it did not come from us.

Packed in Gönen, delivered to your door
Every order is flat-packed in a strapped Lotus Dog House carton and ships with tracking. Standard shipping is free to the US, Canada, the UK and Europe, and duties and import fees are included, so there is nothing extra to pay on delivery. Express shipping is available for US$45. Assembly takes about 15 minutes.
