Our story
Handmade to order in our workshop
Lotus Dog House started with a simple idea: a dog crate should look as good as the rest of your living room. Every house is cut, finished and packed in our own workshop, made to order and shipped with tracking in 1-4 business days.
Our designs were named a finalist in the Etsy Design Awards 2023. More than 2,000 dog owners have ordered from us, and over 290 verified customers rate their house 4.9 out of 5. Engineered wood, a clear acrylic door and a steel latch: a den your dog loves and a piece of furniture you are happy to show.
Why dog owners choose Lotus
Designed as furniture first, built for everyday life with a dog.
Cushion included
Every house ships with a fitted cushion in the colour you choose, so your dog can move in the day it arrives.
Furniture, not a cage
A flat top that works as a side table and clean lines that sit next to your sofa instead of hiding in a corner.
Clear acrylic door, steel latch
Your dog sees the room, you see your dog. The latch closes from the outside; doorless models are available too.
Ventilation built in
Side and roof slots keep air moving so the den stays fresh, without wire mesh.
Engineered wood that wipes clean
Engineered wood (MDF) with a wood-grain or non-toxic painted finish. A damp cloth is all it needs.
Sizes for 5-52 kg dogs

How to measure: lie your dog down with the front legs stretched forward and measure from the tip of the front paws to the back of the hips; we add about 6 in (15 cm) to that for you. Height is measured standing, from the floor to the top of the head. If your dog is between sizes or still growing, choose the larger size.
Dimensions shown are for our Mid, BCL and SB CTL models; exact sizes for every model are on each product page. Not sure? Send us your dog's breed and measurements and we will confirm the size before you order.

Frequently asked questions
Shipping, sizing, materials and returns. Still have a question? Email us and we will reply within one business day.
How long does it take to receive my dog house?
Every house is made to order in our workshop and ships in 1-4 business days. Delivery time depends on your country and is shown at checkout; all orders ship with tracking.
Where do you ship, and will I pay customs or import duties?
Orders over US$250 ship free with tracking to the US, Canada and the UK, plus 18 more countries. Every order is sent DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): import duties and taxes are already covered, so there is nothing extra to pay when your dog house arrives. Express delivery is available at checkout.
Which size should I choose for my dog?
As a guide: small for dogs of about 5-12 kg (11-26 lb), medium for 12-22 kg (26-48 lb) and large or XL for 22-52 kg (48-115 lb). Measure your dog from nose to tail and from floor to shoulder, compare with the size chart on the product page, and size up if your puppy is still growing. Not sure? Email us your dog's breed and weight and we will confirm the right size.
What is the dog house made of?
Engineered wood (MDF) panels with a wood-grain or non-toxic painted finish that wipes clean, a clear shatter-resistant acrylic door and a steel latch. Doorless models are also available.
Is it hard to assemble?
No. Each house arrives flat-packed with pre-drilled panels, all hardware and an illustrated guide. Most customers finish assembly in about 15 minutes.
Does the door lock?
Yes. On models with a door, the steel latch closes from the outside, so the house works as a closed crate at night and an open den during the day. If you prefer no door, choose one of our doorless models.
Is a cushion included, and can I wash it?
Yes, every dog house comes with a cushion in the colour you choose. The cover is removable; wash it cold on a gentle cycle and air-dry to keep its shape.
Can I return my order?
You can return your order within 14 days of delivery; return shipping is paid by the customer. If a panel arrives damaged or a part is missing, email us a photo within 48 hours and we will send replacement parts free of charge. See our Refund Policy for details.
